On Wednesday 23rd July, Westminster Business Council hosted a special edition of the Hidden Gem networking series as a Summer Garden Party in the leafy courtyard of the Fitzrovia Community Centre in Central London.
With over 60 professionals in attendance, the event welcomed a diverse mix of sectors, including technology, finance, law, hospitality, sustainability, and the creative industries. The evening focused on creating meaningful business connections through warm introductions, shared insights, and collaborative conversations. All within a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Business Backing that Makes it Happen
We’re pleased to recognise our event sponsors, whose support helped make the evening a success:
- Wave Access – A global technology partner specialising in AI-powered and custom software solutions.
- Focus Furnishing – Experts in contract furniture, known for delivering stylish and functional interiors.
With their backing, guests enjoyed a thoughtfully curated evening complete with refreshments, conversation spaces, and light garden games designed to foster genuine interaction.
Fast-Paced Intros, Long-Term Connections
WBC’s signature “7-Second Intro” session brought structure and momentum to the evening. Led by Director of Partnerships Clare Gillbanks, this brief-but-effective format allowed every attendee to share who they are and what they do — providing an easy launchpad for further discussion.
Hosting duties were expertly managed by Andrew Morgan, who kept the evening running smoothly and the energy high throughout.
A Setting That Reflects Our Community Values
The Fitzrovia Community Centre provided an ideal venue, reflecting WBC’s commitment to local engagement and community-focused initiatives. Its tranquil garden offered an open and accessible space that supported authentic networking in a comfortable environment.
