David Miller Architects

At David Miller Architects (DMA), we use our technical expertise to find innovative solutions to difficult problems and we achieve better outcomes by breaking down barriers through inclusion and collaboration.

DMA is an architectural practice of 20 people, based in London and Liverpool. Our clients include private developers and estates, local authorities, housing associations and central government, and we work with them to create high quality spaces for living, learning, working and relaxing.

We are wholeheartedly committed to being a responsible business, both through our architecture and in the way we practice. This ethos runs through everything we do, from utilising technology to make buildings that perform better with less impact on the environment, to trying to make our industry more accessible, inclusive and diverse.

We work with young people and pro bono community projects to create social value and this has been recognised by numerous awards including a Westminster Lion Award in 2018, two City of London Dragon Awards for Inclusive Employment in 2018 and 2022 as well as being the Global Good SME of the Year in 2019.

We are also recognised as industry leaders in developing innovative, technology-led solutions and modern methods of construction to solve complex problems around design, cost and programme. We use technology to break down traditional barriers to collaboration and to open up access to the profession, placing equal value on design and delivery excellence. As a result, we regularly share our experience and expertise with government and professional bodies, consultants and contractors, both in the UK and abroad.

Fiona Clark

, Practice Director

Before joining David Miller Architects in 2006, Fiona spent twenty years as a buyer and director in the global textile industry. She now applies her business skills to develop the practice with a focus on responsible business growth. She participates in a variety of organisations to support the communities where we work and to create new opportunities for DMA and the team to contribute and grow. She sits on the boards of Westminster Business Council, Heart of the City, The Fitzrovia Partnership (Business Improvement District) and the Fitzrovia Community Centre. She is a founding member of MIPIM/Leeds Ladies, a network of women in property and construction.
